Infectious Disease Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Specialist Infectious Disease Physician to join our leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing, treating, and preventing a broad range of infectious diseases and managing complex infections.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
• Evaluate patients with acute, chronic, and complex infectious diseases.
• Develop individualized antimicrobial treatment plans.
• Manage complicated infections, including bloodstream, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and hospital-acquired infections.
• Provide specialist consultation for patients with complex or unexplained infections.
• Monitor treatment response and manage antimicrobial-related complications.
• Support antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with microbiologists, intensivists, surgeons, and other specialists.
• Provide guidance on infection control and prevention measures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• MD/DNB/MRCP or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Infectious Diseases or relevant specialty.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization experience preferred.
• Strong clinical experience in managing complex infectious diseases.
• Good knowledge of antimicrobial therapy and infection prevention.
• Excellent diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
