Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 9, 2026

JobSpring is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA conformance.

1. Our Commitment

We believe that everyone should have equal access to job opportunities and career tools. We are actively working to increase the accessibility of our platform by:

  • Designing with accessibility in mind from the start
  • Testing with assistive technologies
  • Regularly reviewing and updating our code for compliance
  • Training our team on accessibility best practices
  • Acting on feedback from users and accessibility experts

2. Standards We Follow

We design and build JobSpring to the four principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA:

  • Perceivable: Information and interface components are presented in ways that users can perceive, including text alternatives and sufficient contrast
  • Operable: Interface components and navigation are operable via keyboard, with sufficient time provided for interactions
  • Understandable: Information and operation of the user interface is understandable, with consistent navigation and clear error handling
  • Robust: Content is robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies

3. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the platform may have limitations:

  • Third-party job listings: Job descriptions sourced from external career pages may not meet our accessibility standards, as we do not control the original content formatting
  • Interactive charts and data visualizations: Some dashboard charts may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We provide tabular data alternatives where possible
  • Chrome extension: The Job Companion extension operates within the constraints of the Chrome extension framework, which may limit certain accessibility features
  • PDF documents: Some downloadable content may not be fully tagged for screen reader accessibility

We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across all features.

4. Assistive Technology Compatibility

JobSpring is designed to work with common assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation

We recommend using the latest versions of browsers and assistive technologies for the best experience.

5. Feedback and Contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of JobSpring. If you encounter an accessibility barrier or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

  • Email: [email protected] (include "Accessibility" in the subject line)
  • Response time: We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days

When reporting an issue, please include:

  • The page URL where you encountered the issue
  • A description of the problem
  • The assistive technology and browser you are using
  • Any suggestions for how we could improve the experience

6. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly review our platform against WCAG standards and incorporate accessibility testing into our development process. We are committed to making JobSpring usable by everyone, and we appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to improve.
