How can we help?

Guides and answers for job seekers, recruiters, and hiring teams.

Shortlisting and rejecting candidates

Review candidate stages and record hiring decisions carefully.

Before you start

Recruiter pipeline stages organize hiring work. A saved candidate or a local selection is not necessarily a persisted shortlist or a decision sent to the candidate.

What to do

  1. 1
Open Applications. Use the recruiter application record for the person and job you are reviewing.
  2. 2
Review the stage action. Choose an available stage appropriate for that record. For a rejection, read the reason and confirmation fields.
  3. 3
Check the response. Confirm the recorded stage and any notification information separately.

Important limitations

Keep in mind

Do not claim that a stage change sends a decision email unless the action explicitly confirms it. Search-page shortlist selection can be local rather than persisted.

If you need more help
