About The Role

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon to provide comprehensive diagnosis, surgical treatment, and follow-up care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in orthopaedic surgery, trauma management, and modern surgical techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions .
  • Perform elective and emergency orthopaedic surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
  • Manage fractures, dislocations, joint injuries, degenerative conditions, and sports-related injuries.
  • Perform procedures involving the hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, foot, and other musculoskeletal areas .
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and develop individualized surgical plans.
  • Provide comprehensive post-operative care and monitor patients for complications.
  • Interpret X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other relevant diagnostic investigations.
  • Manage orthopaedic trauma and acute musculoskeletal emergencies.
  • Perform minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures where appropriately trained.
  • Coordinate rehabilitation and follow-up care with physiotherapists and other specialists.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physiatrists, sports medicine physicians, and other multidisciplinary teams.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding treatment options, surgical risks, recovery, and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with UAE healthcare standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • MS / DNB / MRCS / FRCS / Arab Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in general orthopaedic surgery and trauma.
  • Surgical logbook may be required as part of licensing eligibility for surgical specialties.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skills, and patient-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
