About The Role

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Gastroenterologist to join its expanding medical team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions, with opportunities to perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in a modern healthcare environment.

Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board credentials are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient gastroenterology care.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy.
  • Perform procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy according to clinical expertise.
  • Manage inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver disorders, reflux disease, and other digestive conditions.
  • Assess and manage complex gastrointestinal cases.
  • Provide appropriate pre-procedure assessment and post-procedure follow-up.
  • Collaborate with hepatologists, surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and procedure documentation.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based clinical practice.

Requirements

  • MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology .
  • Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
  • Strong experience in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology.
  • Candidates with UK CCT / MRCP, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board , or equivalent internationally recognized specialist qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong endoscopy experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a tertiary-care or multispecialty hospital preferred.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
  • Expertise in advanced endoscopy, ERCP, EUS, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, or GI oncology will be an advantage.
