About the Role

A leading healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon to join its advanced surgical team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical management of cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions, working within a multidisciplinary environment supported by modern facilities and advanced surgical technology.

We welcome applications from internationally trained surgeons, including candidates with UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board, South African Board, and other Western qualifications .

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with complex cardiovascular and cardiothoracic conditions.
  • Perform cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures appropriate to the candidate's expertise.
  • Manage pre-operative assessments and post-operative patient care.
  • Perform procedures involving coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, aortic conditions, and other cardiovascular disorders.
  • Participate in emergency and elective surgical services.
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists, anesthetists, intensivists, radiologists, and other specialists.
  • Provide comprehensive follow-up and long-term patient management.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement programs.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance, and evidence-based practice.

Requirements

  • MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiovascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, or an equivalent specialty.
  • Significant post-specialization experience in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Proven experience performing cardiovascular surgical procedures independently.
  • Candidates with UK CCT / FRCS, American Board, Australian Board / FRACS, South African specialist qualifications , or equivalent internationally recognized credentials are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in a tertiary-care or advanced cardiac center is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
  • Subspecialty expertise in coronary surgery, valve surgery, aortic surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, or complex cardiothoracic procedures will be an advantage.
