About The Role

About Rahal

Rahal is the travel mini-app inside Iraq’s Super Qi ecosystem; a Rocketship redefining how millions of travelers search, book, and manage journeys across flights, hotels, and digital services. We make travel simple, safe, and accessible to everyone, everywhere.

As part of our growing Marketing department

you’ll play a key role in bringing Rahal to life on the ground, at airports, events, and high-traffic city locations, turning real-world moments into traveler awareness and app downloads.

Role Overview

This is a role for someone who wants to own Rahal's on-ground presence end to end: planning activations, leading a small promoter team, and finding creative ways to get in front of travelers before they ever open the app. You'll spend most of your time in the field, not behind a desk, and you'll be the person who knows what's happening on the ground in Baghdad before anyone else does.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute offline activations end to end, airport counters, baggage carousel placements, city activations, and other on-ground touchpoints.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a small team of offline promoters, including day-of coordination and conduct guidelines.
  • Stay on top of key events and moments happening on the ground (holidays, festivals, sports events, travel seasons) and turn them into activation opportunities.
  • Come up with innovative, on-ground ways to drive top-of-funnel awareness and traffic to the app, beyond the standard counter-and-flyer playbook.
  • Own the on-ground pitch for active campaigns (offers, eSIM packages, partner promotions) and keep promoter talking points current.
  • Design and run traveler surveys during activations to capture demand signals, awareness levels, and leads.
  • Compile activation reports: reach, leads captured, spend, and recommendations for the next round.
  • Coordinate logistics: venue permissions, staffing schedules, materials, and ID/safety requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with on-ground partners such as airport authorities, venue operators, and event organizers.
  • Align offline activity with the broader marketing calendar and campaign priorities.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in field marketing, promotions, events, or on-ground brand activation.
  • Track record of planning and running activations independently, from securing a location to wrapping up and reporting on results.
  • Comfortable managing a small team in a live, fast-moving environment, briefing promoters, keeping them motivated, and adjusting on the fly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable approaching strangers and pitching in person, at ease striking up a conversation with a stranger in an airport or a mall.
  • Basic data literacy: can turn a stack of survey forms or lead sheets into a clean, useful summary.
  • Physically able to work standing, walking, and moving through high-traffic environments for extended periods, including some early mornings, evenings, or weekends around key travel and event dates.
  • Based in Baghdad, with flexibility to travel for activations in other Iraqi cities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic fluency is required.

Personality Traits

  • Biased for Action, plans fast, adapts on the spot, and doesn't wait for a perfect setup to get started.
  • Traveler-Obsessed, every conversation starts with “How does this help the traveler?”
  • People-Person, genuinely enjoys talking to strangers, reads a room fast, and builds instant rapport with travelers and promoters alike.
  • Resourceful, gets things done with the resources at hand and adapts fast when the on-ground reality does not match the plan.
  • Self-Driven, brings their own energy and motivation to the table, doesn't need to be pushed to go after results.
  • Resilient, stays upbeat through long hours, tough weather, and repetitive pitches; doesn't lose energy by the fiftieth conversation of the day.

Why Rahal

  • 🌍 Be part of Iraq’s fastest-growing travel platform inside the SuperQi ecosystem.
  • 🚀 Work in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment where ownership, speed, and creativity truly matter.
  • 🤝 Collaborate with passionate builders shaping the future of digital travel in the Middle East.
  • 💡 Solve real traveler problems at scale from seamless flight booking to next-gen experiences.
  • 🌴 Play a central role in Rahal’s regional expansion across the GCC.
