About The Role
The App Store team is looking for a Business Manager to help grow the High Potential program in Greater China, with a focus on developer engagement. High potential developers are broadly defined as those with notable business growth opportunities and/or broader impact on the App Store ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the ongoing success
of an important segment of the Apple developer ecosystem in one of our most dynamic markets.
## Description
As a Business Manager, you will work directly with developers to understand their businesses, identify growth areas tied to App Store features and best practices, and drive relevant business KPIs. This includes using takeaways from developer engagements to contribute to ongoing optimization and strategic priorities for the High Potential program.
In addition to helping High Potential developers reach positive business outcomes, you will also find ways to foster positive sentiment and identify developer advocates within the segment. With this new engagement approach, Apple aims to reach more developers than ever before and ensure those developers derive meaningful, measurable benefits through a more structured, consistent working relationship with the App Store team.
## Minimum qualifications
Native or professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese, alongside business proficiency in English for internal global collaboration.
5+ years of professional experience with a deep understanding of App Store business models and related platform features, especially games and auto-renewable subscriptions.
Knowledge of App Store business critical metrics and their relevance to various apps and the customer lifecycle, including top of funnel, payer conversion, retention, and re-engagement / win-back.
Deep understanding of the Greater China app ecosystem, including local market trends and developer dynamics.
Ability to analyze and communicate data-driven results clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in using project management/CRM software and tracking performance towards specific, measurable goals.
Enthusiasm for small/mid-sized developers, their needs, and their unique business challenges.
Ability to efficiently manage time, developer engagements, and developer expectations to ensure program success given KPI targets.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a global team environment.
## Preferred qualifications
BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
A track record of working with developers to improve business performance and platform feature adoption.
Experience with presenting to and engaging audiences of senior execs.
