About The Role
At a Glance
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Maintenance Technician II to join the Legrand AV Team. This position reports to Warsaw, IN . This position requires that the employee be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery throughout
the plant.
What Will You Do?
Duties and Accountabilities
- Inspect, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing equipment (mechanical, air, hydraulic, and electrical) in the plant.
- Interact with and navigate the maintenance work order system, related processes, and personnel to directly and timely complete repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities throughout the shift.
- Maintain regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work and completing assignments.
- Ability to work and interact well with others.
- Assist in other plant operations as needed.
- Complete cleanup responsibilities and maintain the workstation according to 5S procedures.
- Perform work at or above pre-established performance objectives.
- Understand workplace hazards and take proactive steps to prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in safety programs, initiatives, and investigations.

Education
Minimum Education
- Associate degree or certification in a maintenance-related field, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 years' experience maintaining equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic repair knowledge.
- Ability to design, fabricate, and weld.
- Utilize technology to solve problems, seek solutions, and upgrade systems.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematic diagrams, and technical documents.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing priorities/tasks.
- Ability to identify and communicate with outside contractors.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
