Bookkeeping & Business Control Traineeship - HBO graduate

For this role, it is important that you live within commuting distance of our Rotterdam office

As our Bookkeeping & Business Control Trainee (HBO graduate), you will contribute to some of the world's largest and most forward-looking renewable energy projects. This full-time traineeship is designed for recent graduates who are eager to learn and build a career in finance. At Primo Marine, finance is much more than processing invoices. With offices in five countries and projects across the globe, you will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of an international finance department and learn how finance supports complex international business operations.

We are looking for someone with potential: a bright mind who is curious, eager to learn and ready to grow into an all-round finance professional. Supported by our Finance team, you will build a solid foundation in finance before expanding your responsibilities into project controlling, financial analysis and reporting.

Your path within Primo

During your first months, you will build a strong foundation by learning the essential processes of our finance department:

• Processing and recording purchase invoices for our Dutch and international entities;
• Assisting with bank reconciliations, payments, timesheet processing and monthly closing activities;
• Supporting VAT returns and sales invoicing;
• Learning how contract administration and project administration fit within finance operations.

As you develop, we will gradually introduce you to

• Project controlling and project financial management;
• Analysing project performance and profitability;
• Preparing management information and financial reporting;
• Understanding how finance supports decision-making in an international business;
• Learning directly from experienced finance professionals, including our Finance Director, Management & Project Accountant and our Cost Controller.
