About The Role
Front Desk Executive
The Front Desk Executive will serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, and other stakeholders, ensuring a professional, friendly, and welcoming experience. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong computer literacy, and the ability to manage front-office operations efficiently within a fast-paced educational environment.
The position will be responsible for handling student and parent inquiries, supporting admissions and registration activities, maintaining accurate student and customer records, coordinating follow-ups, and providing professional administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, and prospective students.
- Welcome and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, messages, and front-office inquiries.
- Provide accurate information regarding courses, admissions, registrations, schedules, and institute services.
- Support the admissions and student counselling teams with inquiries, registrations, appointments, and follow-ups.
- Record and update student and customer information accurately in CRM systems and databases.
- Track prospective student inquiries and conduct timely follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, registrations, communications, and pending requirements.
- Coordinate with admissions, academic, counselling, and administrative teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Assist with data entry, documentation, filing, reports, and other administrative duties.
- Handle student and parent concerns professionally and escalate matters to the relevant department when required.
- Maintain a professional, organised, and welcoming reception area.
- Support institute events, orientations, student activities, and other administrative requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in front-office operations, customer service, admissions, student counselling, or a similar role.
- Experience in a private education institute, university, international school, or education consultancy will be an advantage.
- Excellent command of English and Sinhala. Knowledge of Tamil will be an added advantage.
- Good computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, and basic database/CRM systems.
- Previous experience handling student/parent inquiries, registrations, and follow-ups will be an advantage.
- Experience working with CRM systems or maintaining customer/student databases will be preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
