• Grade UE03: £24,729 to £25,804 per annum, pro rata
• Disability Information Service / IS Corporate / Information Services Group
• Part time: up to 15 hours per week
• Fixed-term: for 12 months
• 5 student posts in total (3 posts for Disability Information Service, 2 posts for Digital Library)

We are a large University covering a wide range of activities. In Professional Services, we support the University’s research and teaching, offering many career and role specialisms.

As a student accessibility tester, you will help to ensure that the websites and applications used by students and staff at the University are accessible. In your role, you will learn to use various computer functionalities and assistive technology, such as screen masking, customisation and magnification tools, screen readers, navigation by voice or keyboard. The role involves familiarising with a website, conducing automated and manual accessibility testing, and writing an accessibility statement that summarises the accessibility errors found, so that they could be addressed by other teams. Colleagues from Disability Information Service will support you throughout the whole testing process.

This post is part-time (up to 15 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
