Speech Pathologist I: (CCC-SLP) Per Diem- variable wkdays 2 wknd days/mo; Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center (IP)

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center is looking for a skilled and fully licensed per diem Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join our team to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute care hospital setting . The SLP collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes. Conduct evaluations and assessments for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.

• Responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric populations.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on communication strategies and swallowing precautions.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, ASHA standards, and state licensure requirements.
• Modified Barium Swallow Assessments.
• Other activities/responsibilities as determined by department manager

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, required
• Current New Jersey State License in Speech-Language Pathology, required
• BLS Certification is required
• Acute care experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
