Oral Dental surgeon

Our leading healthcare facility is looking for an experienced Specialist Oral Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical management of oral and dental conditions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in minor oral surgery, dental extractions, impacted teeth management, and the treatment of oral and jaw pathology.

Oral Surgery is recognized as a dental specialty under the UAE Unified PQR, alongside Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive oral examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Perform surgical and complex dental extractions, including impacted and partially erupted teeth .
• Manage dentoalveolar surgical conditions and oral pathology.
• Perform minor oral surgical procedures within the scope of specialty and clinical privileges.
• Manage patients with medically complex conditions requiring oral surgical care.
• Perform procedures such as alveoloplasty, surgical exposure of impacted teeth, biopsy, and soft-tissue procedures where appropriately trained.
• Evaluate and manage infections, cysts, lesions, and other oral surgical conditions.
• Interpret dental radiographs, CBCT, and other relevant diagnostic investigations.
• Provide appropriate pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Manage complications following oral surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with orthodontists, prosthodontists, periodontists, general dentists, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons when required.
• Counsel patients regarding treatment options, risks, post-operative care, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with UAE healthcare standards.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• BDS / DDS / DMD or equivalent recognized dental degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Oral Surgery / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery .
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialization clinical experience preferred.
• Strong experience in oral surgical procedures and complex extractions.
• Excellent clinical judgment, surgical skills, and patient-management abilities.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
