Senior Mechanical Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and lead the development of innovative distributed cooperative robotics. You will work closely with electrical and software teams, focusing on fast iteration and learning. Your responsibilities will include creating novel electro-mechanical mechanisms, building and debugging prototype robots, developing designs for volume production, and supporting robot deployments at customer sites. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics with 3+ years of industry experience is required.

• Lead the development of innovative electro-mechanical systems for mobile robotics, collaborating closely with electrical and software teams.
• Design, prototype, and validate novel mechanisms and systems, utilizing rapid prototyping methods to iterate quickly and improve designs.
• Support the transition of designs to volume production, focusing on reliability, cost optimization, and compliance with manufacturing processes.
• Hands on experience with 3D printing, sheet metal design, casting, injection molding, prototype manufacturing and assembly
• Experience designing and debugging electromechanical systems
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics with 3+ years of industry experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Proficiency in designing parts and assemblies using 3D modeling software (Solidworks and Onshape preferred). FEA experience (ANSYS preferred) an asset
