Senior Software Engineer (Clinical Software)

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will design, develop, and maintain our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). This role is crucial to our engineering team, as you will take ownership of feature development for both existing systems and new cloud-based platforms. You will work with senior engineers to tackle complex problems and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that power our laboratory operations in a regulated environment.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems and features supporting laboratory operations.
• Develop and optimize backend services and APIs using Python and/or Java, and implement solutions using various database technologies.
• Take ownership of deploying and maintaining services in the AWS cloud environment, and actively participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex tasks
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Github, Bitbucket) and CI/CD concepts
• Proven experience building and deploying applications on AWS
• 5 years of professional software development experience
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and developing REST APIs
• Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or Java
• Experience with web frameworks like Flask or FastAPI
• Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js)
• Exposure to graph databases or NoSQL technologies
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
