Senior Backend Engineer

Join DataSnipper as a Senior Backend Engineer in the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. You'll design and build core platform systems for authentication, authorization, and access management. You'll drive architecture decisions, ensure high reliability and security, and collaborate with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of backend development experience, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of building scalable systems. Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture is required.

• Design and build scalable, secure IAM (authentication, authorization, access management) platform services, and own architecture decisions for backend systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate technical decisions and risks clearly, while working across teams to enable identity and access flows.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and handle ambiguous, high-level problems, turning them into structured solutions.
• 7+ years of backend development experience (C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
• Wealth of experience around testing and various methodologies
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders
• Proven track record of building scalable, reliable systems
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools
• Bias to action and sense of ownership
• Experience with system design and architecture
• Ability to work independently on complex and ambiguous problems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
• Experience with Identity & Access Management systems
