Engineering Manager (Regulatory Reporting Data)

About The Role
Join Adyen, a leading global payment company, as an Engineering Manager in the Regulatory Reporting group. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team to deliver accurate, reliable, and timely reporting products that demonstrate compliance with various regulatory regimes. You will work closely with Compliance, Legal, Finance, and product development teams to translate evolving regulatory requirements into robust engineering solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on Adyen's operations and its relationships with regulators, merchants, and partners.
- Lead a cross-functional team to deliver accurate, reliable, and timely regulatory reporting products.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Finance, and product development teams to translate regulatory requirements into engineering solutions.
- Drive the team toward success by focusing on measurable business outcomes and reducing operational friction in the reporting cycle.
- Product Mindset: You think in terms of user needs, data quality, scalability, and long-term vision for reporting and compliance solutions
- Experienced Leader: You have 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams and 5+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering or Data Engineering
- Owned something that couldn't slip: You have personally owned a delivery end to end where the deadline was set outside your organisation and a wrong output had real consequences. Regulatory reporting experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Quality & Growth Mindset: You are not afraid to challenge the status quo and possess an innate curiosity for how automation and better data infrastructure can raise the bar for regulatory reporting in the payments industry
- Stakeholder-Savvy: You can clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders such as Compliance, Legal, and Finance, and align diverse needs into a unified roadmap
- Technical Background: You possess a strong foundation in core Software Engineering (e.g. Java or Python) and have experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines in production. Familiarity with financial services regulation or reporting is a plus, but not a requirement
- Entrepreneurial Self-Starter: You are a dynamic individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, capable of driving initiatives from ideation to completion with minimal oversight
