Head of Site Reliability Engineering (Cross-Asset)

Join IEX, a leading financial exchange, as the Head of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) for Cross-Asset. In this role, you will lead the SRE organization, define and drive our strategy for reliability, observability, automation, incident management, capacity, and performance. You will partner with various teams to operate highly reliable, performance-sensitive trading systems and develop engineers and technical leads while creating common standards and best practices across teams. • Lead and develop the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) organization across Equities and Options, ensuring the reliability and operational excellence of production environments.
• Define and drive the strategy for reliability, observability, automation, incident management, capacity, and performance in collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Develop engineers and technical leads while creating common standards and best practices across teams, remaining technically engaged to help troubleshoot complex issues.
• Experience with performance-sensitive or highly available systems; trading or exchange experience is a plus
• An intellectually curious mindset and willingness to challenge how things are done
• Proven experience building, leading, and scaling global SRE, Production Engineering, or Infrastructure teams responsible for highly available, business-critical production systems
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, automation, observability, and production operations
• A track record of driving technical and organizational change
