About The Role

Join Tiqets, a fast-growing tech company in the travel industry. As an Analytics Engineer, you will be the critical link between Data and Business teams, ensuring high-quality, performant, and governed data. You will design, build, and maintain dbt models, improve analytical data modeling practices, and help evolve the data governance framework. You will collaborate with various teams, review code, and contribute to improving data infrastructure. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor others and collaborate on the architectural evolution of the data model and reporting framework.

  • Design, build, and maintain dbt models powering behavioral analytics and event-tracking pipeline.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of dbt pipelines and Looker infrastructure, proactively identifying automation and cost-efficiency opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and stakeholders across teams to keep modeling standards consistent and well understood.

  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation
  • Experience with Looker or a comparable BI/semantic-layer tool
  • Capacity to thrive in a scale-up environment, pragmatic attitude, ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with others, and take ownership of your work
  • Proven track record of working with a modern cloud data warehouse like Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery
  • Experience with Apache Airflow or a comparable orchestration tool
  • Python proficiency, with a track record of writing clean, maintainable code
  • Experience with cross-functional/cross-team collaboration, with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Data or Analytics Engineer on data-intensive applications
  • Living in the Netherlands/EU
  • Curiosity about data observability and lineage tooling
  • Experience with data access control and masking patterns in dbt
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and regulatory compliance considerations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS) as they apply to data platforms and data warehouses
