Senior Software Engineer, Convert (Backend/Infra)

Join Webflow, a remote-first company dedicated to building the world's leading Agentic Marketing Experience Platform. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Convert team, you will design, build, and operate distributed backend systems, own and improve infrastructure, and mentor other engineers. You should have 5+ years of experience in backend systems, strong skills in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, and be comfortable with cloud infrastructure and DevOps.

• Design, build, and operate the distributed backend systems behind our recommendations pipeline and our AI workflow execution engine, primarily in Python and TypeScript/Node.js.
• Own and harden the infrastructure our products run on, including our AI workflow platform on AWS and Kubernetes: improving reliability, observability, and scalability, not just consuming infra built elsewhere.
• Strengthen how our systems handle failure: eventing and streaming, retries, backpressure, and recovery, so a single outage doesn’t turn into days of replay.
