About The Role

Description

As a Tesla Maintenance Planner, you will ensure the operational availability of remanufacturing and test equipment by setting up, maintaining, and continuously improving the site's Maintenance Management System — including work order planning, preventive and autonomous maintenance plans, scheduling, compliance audits, and skills & training matrices — guided by the 8 Pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). You will drive the shift from reactive to preventive maintenance, targeting reductions in Unplanned Downtime (UPDT), Mean Time To Repair/Respond (MTTR/R), and improvements in Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), while reducing cost and increasing safety and quality. You will also design KPI dashboards and control systems for real-time maintenance performance visibility, as well as managing inventory, spares, and purchasing processes to enable effective execution across all teams.

Responsibilities

Establish and continuously improve the Maintenance Management System — including work order workflows, preventive and autonomous maintenance programs, scheduling, and compliance audits — while deploying the 8 Pillars of TPM (Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Quality Maintenance, Focused Improvement, Early Equipment Management, Training & Education, Safety/Health/Environment, and Administrative TPM)

Coordinate and plan maintenance activities across organizational boundaries — including vendor support, resource balancing, and equipment availability — and support training programs and operator competency growth aligned with TPM

Serve as Procurement Lead for the Maintenance Team, managing end-to-end sourcing, ordering, and delivery of tools, materials, and services, including purchase order justification and approval

Manage the Spare Parts Management System within the CMMS — including inventory strategy, min/max stock levels, reorder points, and vendor lead times — ensuring critical spares availability while streamlining administrative maintenance processes

Design, maintain and monitor KPI dashboards and control systems tracking UPDT, MTTR/R, MTBF, OEE, PM, safety & compliance, training skill levels, schedule adherence, backlog health, and maintenance cost, with established reporting cadences to drive actionable improvements

Implement and sustain 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) across maintenance workshops, spare parts areas, and tool storage — establishing visual standards, conducting regular audits, and driving a culture of workplace organization that supports safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability

Requirements

Experience within industrial manufacturing in coordination and execution of detailed maintenance job plans

Experience setting up or improving Maintenance Management Systems, including PM programs and autonomous maintenance, with knowledge of TPM principles and practical experience with one or more of the 8 pillars

Proficiency with CMMS for work order management, spare parts tracking, and maintenance scheduling, plus common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Demonstrated ability to build KPI dashboards and reporting tools tracking maintenance performance metrics (UPDT, MTTR/R, MTBF, OEE, PM compliance, cost) to drive data-informed decisions

Robust technical background in Electrical, Electronic, and Mechanical systems, including energy isolation, LOTO, and electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure in a fast-paced environment, communicating and collaborating effectively with engineering disciplines, vendors, craft experts, and executives

Physically able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, perform frequent bending and lifting, and safely lift up to 25 kg
