This is a senior individual contributor role shaping the future architecture of sophisticated SaaS products across cloud, DevOps, and agentic <AI.You> will define strategic technology direction while remaining hands-on in designing secure, scalable, resilient cloud-native solutions.The role spans AWS architecture, serverless and microservices platforms, SDLC automation, and emerging AI agent orchestration <technologies.You> will translate complex business and technical requirements into practical architecture roadmaps, designs, and governance standards.Working across product, engineering, security, operations, and enterprise architecture, you will influence decisions with broad organizational <impact.You> will also evaluate emerging technologies, lead proofs of concept, and promote responsible adoption of AI and automation.This opportunity is ideal for a highly credible architect who combines strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and strong executive communication.

Accountabilities

Define enterprise architecture blueprints for secure, scalable AWS environments designed to support autonomous AI agent orchestration and modern SaaS platforms.

Establish architectural vision and strategy for healthcare-focused SaaS products, ensuring technology direction aligns with business objectives and product roadmaps.

Design and guide cloud-native architectures emphasizing elasticity, availability, resiliency, security, and reliable integration across infrastructure, services, and applications.

Embed AI-driven automation throughout the software development lifecycle to improve development velocity, testing, security scanning, and operational efficiency.

Develop architecture patterns for agentic AI, orchestration, agent-to-agent collaboration, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and emerging AWS AI capabilities.

Champion serverless, microservices, event-driven, and multi-region, multi-tenant architecture patterns aligned with AWS Well-Architected principles.

Maintain a holistic technology scorecard covering technical roadmaps, technical debt, product security alignment, architecture standards, and operational reference model compliance.

Define and maintain governance, security, compliance, and architectural standards for AI-enabled workflows and cloud environments.

Produce, review, and shepherd architecture artifacts, technical designs, and architecture decision records through established governance processes.

Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies, lead proofs of concept, and incorporate relevant innovations into long-term architecture roadmaps.

Collaborate with executives, clients, product leaders, engineers, security teams, operations, and technical architects to translate business requirements into actionable designs.

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams while promoting strong practices in software design, development, operations, and continuous learning.

Ensure technology solutions address scalability, disaster recovery, data retention, observability, monitoring, identity and access management, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Align executive-level technology strategy with implementation teams and ensure architectural decisions can be translated into practical engineering outcomes.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in application or solution architecture, with demonstrated progression into senior or principal-level technical leadership.

8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, and cloud-native application design and deployment.

At least 5 years of experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale, complex serverless SaaS solutions on public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

5+ years of experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps.

Deep, hands-on knowledge of AWS services, cloud architecture principles, secure cloud-native implementation patterns, and cloud cost optimization.

Advanced expertise in serverless application architecture, microservices, event-driven systems, multi-region deployments, and multi-tenant SaaS models.

Strong understanding of modern SDLC automation and agentic AI platform architecture, including AI-enabled engineering workflows and orchestration patterns.

Ability to apply best practices for scalability, high availability, resiliency, disaster recovery, data retention, monitoring, observability, and security across enterprise SaaS environments.

Working knowledge of healthcare technology and compliance requirements, including HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC 2, data privacy, and cloud identity and access management.

Strong architecture governance capabilities, including developing standards, producing architecture artifacts, documenting technical decisions, and guiding solutions through governance review.

Advanced critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities, with strong skills in synthesizing complex technical and business information and developing sound recommendations.

Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal influence skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification required.

Experience working within a commercial SaaS environment and established architecture governance framework is preferred.

A master’s degree or certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, or Cloud Security credentials are desirable.

Ability to work remotely from a home office and use standard workstation equipment for extended periods.

Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight travel of up to approximately 10%.

Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
