About The Role

Performs maintenance service or repairs in three or more skilled areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing. This is a senior-level support, individual contributor role.

  • Performs maintenance service or repairs in three or more skilled areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.
  • Work under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Resolve most questions and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Corrective work corrective work orders: Perform corrective repairs (issued in the Sales Force system) according to the priorities and service standards defined in the service level agreement (SLC) to restore the functionality and operation of building systems and components.
  • Preventive work orders: Conduct routine scheduled maintenance through Sales Force work orders to prevent failures and interruptions in the functionality and operation of building systems and components.
  • Inspection of core systems and components: Carry out inspections of core building systems and components to detect failures and interruptions, ensuring the continuity of meetings and gospel ordinances.
  • Responsibilities may include: Estimates time and material cost for various projects.
  • May periodically assist in orienting and training new employees. Requests new supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repairs Perform scheduled and emergency preventive maintenance to ensure warranty compliance and to extend life of equipment on HVAC systems and equipment (where applicable), plumbing, electrical, and sound systems.
  • Perform repairs to motors, pumps, and small engines, and to cabinets, mill work, sheet rock, flooring, locks, and hardware.
  • Service, repair, or replace HVAC systems and components (where applicable), plumbing systems, electrical systems, sound and electronic systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair doors, drywall, handrails, masonry, insulation, roofs, windows, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, etc., where applicable.
  • Repair or replaces locks, hinges, mill work, sheet rock (minor), tile work (minor), wall coverings (minor), small paint jobs, motors, engines, and ground care equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair interior and exterior finish woodwork such as cabinets, custom furniture, casings, countertops, exhibits, molding, trim, and base.
  • Install, repair, and maintain flooring including carpet, tile, and LVT. Install, repair, and maintain concrete, masonry, and exterior fencing.
  • Handle, maintain, and repair the necessary required tools, portable machines, and general construction equipment.
  • Administrative and Operational Utilize Corrigo work order tracking software and church time entry software/personal to efficiently manage and document daily work.
  • Responsible for maintaining standard safety during work, including the reporting of hazards or accidents both inside and outside the building to the manager.
  • Estimate and purchases materials needed for a specific job or project. Manage the inventory of supplies and equipment and orders new supplies as needed.
  • Reconciliation using church purchasing software for P-card purchases. Attend meetings when assigned by manager and attends training sessions to improve technical skills.
  • Provide relevant data from regulatory work order property inspections.
  • Operate fleet vehicle and ensures all regulatory maintenance is performed. Work and communicates with contractors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities manager (FM) groups.
  • 3 years of any combination of related experience or progress towards or completion of a relevant university (post-secondary) degree or an industry-recognized certification.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge three or more skilled areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs, or installations.
  • Able to communicate ideas and convey and receive instruction accurately.
  • Able to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and technical procedure manuals.
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of and always comply with standards and company safety policies.
  • Able to effectively communicate and present information to individuals and small groups.
  • Able to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, cellphones, and tablets. Understand and be able to use MS office applications department specific software, web-based programs, internet services, and wireless communications.
  • Able to efficiently manage their own schedule and prioritize their work to accomplish job requirements.
  • Familiar with and able to safely use industrial cleaning chemicals and products.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and operate fleet vehicle.
  • Essential Physical Requirements, you must be able to do the following:
  • Transfer items weighing 22.68 kg. a distance of 6.10 meters without mechanical assistance.
  • Use hand tools when repairing equipment requiring body forces of 18.14kg.
  • Use a ladder 80 rungs per hour in an eight-hour day to access attic spaces, elevated repair locations and to change light bulbs.
  • Climb 180 stairs per day to access all areas of the meetinghouse and grounds.
  • Access mechanical equipment on rooftops and tolerate heights of 9.14 meters.
  • Reach 45.72cm below ground level, and stoop and rise repeatedly 30 times per day.
  • Access mechanical equipment in areas with limited crawlspace.
  • Remain in a stationary position to drive between locations for 4 hours per day.
  • Remain in a stationary for 2 hours continuously, and 7 hours overall in an eight-hour day.
  • Traverse 6.45 km per day to access all areas of the meetinghouse and grounds.
  • Near/far/depth/color vision to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and repair HVAC (where applicable), plumbing, sprinkler, electrical, sound, electronic systems; to repair cabinets, mill work and hardware; to drive.
  • Must be familiar with and able to safely use industrial cleaning chemicals and products.
