About The Role
*This is an eight-month temporary third-party outsourcing position.
Provide accounting and financial reporting support to ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory compliance, accounts receivable and payable processing, fixed asset accounting, and financial reporting activities. Support internal and external audits, SOX compliance initiatives, and finance-related projects while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Support daily AR and AP operations, including transaction processing, reconciliations, vendor master data maintenance, invoice management, and resolution of internal and external inquiries.
- Monitor outstanding balances and long-aging items to ensure timely follow-up and compliance with company policies.
General Ledger & Month-end Closing
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, lease accounting entries, and other month-end adjustments.
- Support timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with company policies, China GAAP, and US GAAP requirements.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and prepare monthly financial reporting packages.
- Support management reporting, intercompany reconciliation, cash flow forecasting, and other financial analysis activities.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data reported in local and corporate reporting systems.
Ad-hoc
- Support internal audit, external audit, SOX compliance, and internal control activities.
- Participate in finance process improvement initiatives and system implementation or upgrade projects.
- Perform other ad hoc accounting and finance assignments as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Solid accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Experience with SAP B1 would be a plus.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
- Experience of working in a US Multinational within the OTC pharma, medical devices or fast-moving consumer goods industry would be an advantage
Experience
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational company.
- Hands-on experience in general ledger accounting, month-end close and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting audits, internal controls, and statutory compliance activities.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
