Gardener

Job Summary

The Gardener is responsible for maintaining gardens, lawns, plants, trees, flower beds, and landscaped areas in a clean, healthy, and attractive condition. The role involves regular watering, pruning, planting, fertilizing, grass cutting, pest control, and general landscaping maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other landscaped areas.
• Perform regular watering and ensure plants receive appropriate irrigation.
• Plant flowers, trees, shrubs, grass, and other plants as required.
• Carry out pruning, trimming, cutting, and shaping of plants and trees.
• Mow and maintain lawns using appropriate gardening equipment.
• Remove weeds, dry leaves, branches, and other unwanted vegetation.
• Apply fertilizers, compost, and approved pesticides as required.
• Monitor plants for diseases, pests, and other signs of damage.
• Maintain and operate gardening tools and equipment safely.
• Keep gardening areas, pathways, and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Report damaged plants, irrigation problems, equipment defects, or other landscaping issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all health, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
• Support seasonal landscaping and planting activities.
• Perform other gardening and landscaping duties assigned by the supervisor.
