About The Role

  • Develop and execute trading strategies across European and HH natural gas and LNG-linked (JKM) financial markets, with a focus on Henry Hub futures, JKM basis, and related derivatives
  • Price and manage financial optionality embedded within LNG supply, transportation, and marketing portfolios
  • Monitor US gas market fundamentals, including production, storage, pipeline flows, LNG export demand, weather impacts, and supply-demand balances
  • Identify and execute trading opportunities arising from LNG market dislocations, regional basis movements, volatility, and global gas market dynamics
  • Manage hedging strategies for LNG exposures using futures, swaps, options, and other financial instruments
  • Leverage quantitative models, analytics, and market data to support valuation, risk management, and trading decisions
  • Collaborate closely with LNG commercial, origination, risk management, scheduling, and analytics teams to optimize portfolio performance
  • Analyze interactions between US gas markets, LNG exports, and international gas benchmarks to identify arbitrage and optimization opportunities
  • Maintain and develop relationships with brokers, exchanges, counterparties, and market participants
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments, market structure changes, and emerging trends affecting US natural gas and LNG markets
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in European and US natural gas trading, LNG trading, or gas derivatives trading
  • Strong understanding of Henry Hub pricing, US natural gas fundamentals, basis markets, storage dynamics, and LNG export economics and global LNG market dynamics
  • Experience managing financial risk associated with LNG portfolios and physical optionality
  • Knowledge of futures, swaps, options, and structured gas products, including volatility and options valuation concepts
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Python, R, VBA, or other relevant programming languages
  • Familiarity with trading and risk management platforms and major exchanges such as CME/NYMEX and ICE
  • Strong understanding of market risk management, VaR concepts, stress testing, and position management within defined risk limits
  • Ability to analyze complex market relationships across US gas, LNG, and global energy markets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across commercial, risk, and analytics functions
