Senior Software Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our UDDI Engineering team in Bangalore and Pune , reporting to Senior Manager, Engineering . In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, debug, deploy, and support scalable cloud networking and SaaS platform capabilities using Golang, Kubernetes, and modern distributed-systems practices. Collaborating closely with architects, product managers, QA, site reliability engineering, customer support, and partner teams, you will help deliver secure, reliable, production-ready solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. You will also use approved AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity, automation, documentation, testing, and technical decision support while maintaining strong engineering judgment and accountability.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement scalable software components and services using Golang, microservices, REST, and gRPC APIs
  • Optimize data-intensive applications leveraging Cloud PostgreSQL/Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, performance tuning, and scalability
  • Architect resilient, maintainable, observable, and secure cloud networking and distributed systems capabilities
  • Develop Kubernetes-native applications, containerized services, Helm charts, custom resources, and controllers
  • Streamline development, testing, CI/CD, production deployment, and operational-support workflows
  • Troubleshoot issues across application, Kubernetes, cloud, Linux, and networking layers to deliver durable fixes
  • Author design documents, technical proposals, test plans, runbooks, and operational documentation
  • Write unit, integration, functional, and regression tests for correctness, resiliency, performance, and backward compatibility
  • Enhance observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and dashboards
  • Leverage approved AI coding and productivity tools responsibly for code exploration, test generation, debugging, documentation, and routine automation

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 8+ years of professional software-development experience with ownership of production-quality software
  • Expertise in Golang, including concurrency, error handling, testing, profiling, and performance optimization
  • Hands-on experience with microservices, distributed systems, REST/gRPC APIs, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Proficiency with Cloud PostgreSQL/Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, including data modeling, schema design, SQL optimization, indexing, and query-performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec, VPNs, routing, and network troubleshooting
  • Solid background in Linux/Unix environments, production deployment, monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis
  • Experience with CI/CD, source control, automated testing, code reviews, and Agile development practices
  • Practical knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, metrics collection, monitoring, alerting, dashboard creation, and cloud-native observability best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, collaborate across time zones, mentor engineers, and communicate complex concepts clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred

  • Build a strong understanding of the team’s products, architecture, development practices, and customer use cases
  • Deliver production-quality enhancements in Golang and Kubernetes-based services
  • Investigate and resolve complex development, test, and production issues through structured debugging and root-cause analysis
  • Use approved AI-assisted tools responsibly for selected engineering workflows, with appropriate validation and human review
  • Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, technical discussions, deployment readiness, and cross-functional planning

One Year

  • Own significant features or services from requirements and system design through implementation, testing, production deployment, and support
  • Provide technical leadership for cloud networking and SaaS platform initiatives
  • Improve service reliability, observability, automation, test coverage, and developer productivity
  • Mentor engineers and strengthen practices for design, code review, debugging, production support, and responsible AI adoption
  • Represent the engineering team in cross-functional technical discussions and contribute to architecture and customer-impact decisions
