Operations Process Engineer, Central Region

In this role, you will lead cost reduction and Six Sigma productivity initiatives aimed at improving operational performance, efficiency, and overall plant profitability You will monitor key plant performance indicators, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to support consistent, reliable plant operations A key part of the role involves providing technical expertise to resolve complex process issues, including product recovery, pressure drop concerns, vent losses, purity performance, equipment efficiency, and cooling system optimization You will lead plant thaw activities and provide support for turnaround planning and execution to help ensure safe and efficient maintenance events The role includes providing process safety leadership through activities such as Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), alarm management, and incident investigations You will champion a strong safety culture while supporting compliance with critical safety systems, operating standards, and corporate safety requirements Supporting employee development is an important aspect of the role, including delivering process-related training and providing technical guidance to operations and instrumentation teams You will identify, develop, and execute small capital projects that improve plant reliability, efficiency, and operational performance The position involves leading or participating in root cause investigations, cross-functional improvement teams, equipment analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives Success in the role requires maintaining a strong understanding of operating procedures, maintenance standards, engineering requirements, and best practices to support safe and effective plant operations
