Duties and Responsibilities

-

Repair and maintain railings, gates, TV hangers, doors, flag poles and grandstand seating

-

Maintain washrooms: repair water closets, urinals, wash basins, showers as needed

-

Snow and ice removal including shoveling, salting and plowing

-

Respond to emergencies such as fire and water leaks

-

Assist outside contractors and tradesmen as required

-

Complete and maintain all documents/records in a timely and accurate manner as required. This includes, work orders, log books, inspection logs, and other documents used in performance of your duties.

Ensure inventory supplies are adequate and readily available

-

Clean and maintain assigned vehicle

-

Ensure work area and assigned tools and equipment are kept clean and tidy

-

Ensure utility rooms and other areas, including public areas assigned, are clean and tidy

-

Complete work in a safe and effective manner in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act

-

Ensure that you swipe in before your shift and swipe out at the end of your shift every time.

If applicable, perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, re-lamping, painting, drywall repairs and parts pickup

-

If applicable, inspect and change all filters and belts on a regularly scheduled basis

-

If applicable, maintain, test and record all chemical treatment programs as required

-

If applicable, maintain and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment

-

If applicable, repair and maintain domestic hot and cold water systems, sanitary and irrigation systems

-

If applicable, perform routine test and inspection of all emergency equipment- including diesel generator test

-

If applicable, maintain and repair all kitchen, concession stand and bar equipment as required

-

Demonstrate and model professionalism, courtesy, consideration and respect to internal and WEG customers

-

Respond in a timely and effective manner to unexpected and immediate needs of customers

Experience/Training/Special Skills/Education Required

-

Minimum grade 12 diploma

-

Minimum 2 years related experience in general building maintenance

-

Good understanding of HVAC equipment and systems

-

Sound mechanical knowledge

-

Ability to provide own basic hand tools

-

Must have and maintain a valid Ontario drivers licence G or G2

-

Must have and maintain valid AGCO licenses as required.

-

Solid understanding of WHMIS and Health and Safety procedures

-

Able to understand, read, write and converse effectively in English

-

Available for shift work, weekends, holidays and overtime

-

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay rate: $28.51 during probation period and $29.26 after probation
