Job Summary
The Senior Technical Systems Analyst will be part of the North America Information Services team working primarily with North America business units but will be required to assist with other business units as needed. This position will be a member of the Information Services Department and will assist the team with end user support, analysis, design, evaluation, testing, and implementation of the systems utilized in North America. The position will be based in Farmville, North Carolina and/or Wilson, North Carolina and will support multiple locations within the North America region (including Canada, Guatemala, and the United States of America). This role is On-Site for the first few years until acclimated to support the role for multiple facilities in North Carolina.
- Establish effective relationships with North America management and business stakeholders to understand functional needs and technical requirements.
- Establish regular visits to the North America production facilities to fully understand operational processes.
- Attend business sector meetings to stay abreast of business requirements and changes as required.
- Hands-on technical skills in support of technologies and systems used.
- Provide end users training and knowledge transfer.
- Investigate technical issues across systems within the scope of responsibility.
- Primary technical liaison for establishing and maintaining critical data and system integrations between the company and customer systems.
- Managing assigned system related projects and following the company project management methodology.
- Develop detailed technical specifications for new systems or enhancements to systems used in North America operations.
- Responsible for assuring system/application developments or enhancements to systems in scope of responsibility have been adequately tested prior to implementation.
- Responsible for coordinating production releases for assigned systems including upgrades / installations following the company's standard methodology.
- North America system responsibility includes:
- Manufacturing Systems
- Raw Product Procurement Systems
- Labelling Solutions
- Configure systems based on functional needs.
- Work closely with the Global Business Systems division to validate that delivered features meet requirements.
- Responsible for, or assisting with, maintaining test and training environments.
- Responsible for testing Microsoft fixes and security patches within the times required for assigned systems.
- Manage data conversion during system implementations.
- Assist with system performance and tuning
- Maintain Information Services standards within the scope of responsibility.
- Perform disaster recovery activities including documentation and testing for areas of responsibility.
- Emergency after hour support as needed and on a rotation schedule.
- Ensure Information Services policy and procedures are adhered to.
- Remain abreast of other initiatives within the Information Services organization to ensure compatibility and integration opportunities are not hindered.
- Support system-related audits, either internal or external.
- A bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or related field with at least 8 years of proven experience in system design, maintenance, and support.
- Project Management skills and tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft’s SQL Server database technology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft’s programming languages is a plus.
- Experience with system integration.
- Understanding Microsoft Operating Systems – Windows 11 or Server 2025.
- Ability to effectively conduct JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions with Business Units
- Ability to effectively document business and technical designs
- Ability to effectively manage the application development life cycle
- Must have self-directed initiative to stay technically up to date
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be detail oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment requiring the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- The ability to work independently as well as in groups with individuals of differing technical backgrounds
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with employees at diverse levels within a multi-cultural workforce
- Must be trustworthy and handle work of a confidential nature
- Ability to travel outside of the United States for up to 2-3 weeks at a time
- Must be highly self-motivated
