About the role

Contribute to the delivery and sustainment of specialised Defence capability. Working within the Project Team, you will support a diverse range of project, procurement, sustainment, and governance activities that enable critical equipment and systems to remain available and effective for Defence users.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Project Support Officer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working across multiple stakeholders, and wants to build their career supporting complex Defence projects.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will support a range of procurement, sustainment, and logistics activities that contribute to the successful delivery of specialised Defence capability. You'll assist with procurement processes including RFQs, RFTs, ASDEFCON documentation and contract administration, while also managing equipment lifecycle activities such as warranty support, tracking, kitting, dispatch, and disposal. Working closely with Defence stakeholders and industry partners, you will generate Outline Agreements, Purchase Orders, and support invoice processing through SAP to ensure the effective delivery and sustainment of critical systems.

  • Support project governance through the preparation of briefs, reports, correspondence, risk management activities, and project documentation.
  • Manage project correspondence, shared mailboxes, records, and data management activities to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist the System Manager with day-to-day project coordination and be prepared to act in the role when required.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Defence stakeholders, industry partners, sustainment providers, and project team members.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with experience supporting projects, governance, logistics, procurement, or Defence programs, who can effectively manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. You'll bring strong communication skills, confidence preparing professional documentation and stakeholder correspondence, and advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite. A collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across multidisciplinary teams.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience working within a Defence or CASG environment.
  • Familiarity with Defence procurement and contracting processes.
  • Experience using Defence ERP systems, SAP, Objective, or related business systems.
  • Exposure to equipment sustainment, logistics, capability management, or asset lifecycle activities.

More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
