Associate Director, Health Career Tech Hub

Position Summary The Associate Director, Health Career Tech Hub, oversees the day-to-day operations of the Health Career Tech Hub; develops and manages strategic partnerships; coordinates program implementation; monitors performance, outcomes, and grant deliverables; and supports continuous program improvement. The position ensures that Health Career Tech Hub activities align with the priorities of the National Center for Rural Health Professions at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford (NCRHP), the Illinois Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) goals, and grant requirements, as well as broader statewide efforts to build and sustain a strong rural healthcare workforce. Working collaboratively with a variety of statewide stakeholders and community partners, the Associate Director advances sustainable career exploration, workforce readiness, and educational opportunities for future health professionals. Duties Responsibilities Program Leadership and Administration Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Health Career Tech Hub and related workforce pathway initiatives focused on healthcare support workers, including certificate programs. Develop and implement new workforce initiatives and regional expansion strategies. Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with educational institutions, healthcare employers, workforce boards, community organizations, and regional stakeholders, including IL Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Network, regional partners, and NCRHP’s pathways unit. Represent NCRHP and the Health Career Tech Hub at meetings, conferences, and community events. Monitor program performance metrics and support continuous quality improvement activities. Program Operations and Fiscal Management Assist with budget development, fiscal oversight, and monitoring program expenditures. Supervise staff, graduate assistants, student employees, and/or contractors. Hire, onboard, train, and evaluate program staff. Data, Reporting, and Evaluation Support collection, analysis, and reporting of program data and outcomes. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for university leadership and external funders. Collaborate with evaluation and research teams to measure program impact and workforce outcomes. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities and compliance requirements. Communication and Strategic Initiatives Participate in university committees, statewide collaboratives, and professional organizations relevant to rural health workforce development. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
