Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering Experience: 10 to 15 Years Job Summary Zydus Healthcare Limited is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Deputy Manager / Associate Manager - Engineering at its Sikkim Unit I. The incumbent will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, reliability, and regulatory compliance of Utility, HVAC, Water Systems, and Electrical installations to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and ensure uninterrupted utility operations. Key Responsibilities · Manage and ensure smooth operation of utility systems including HVAC, Water Systems, Power Distribution, DG Sets, Air Compressors, and related infrastructure. · Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of HVAC systems to ensure compliance with cGMP requirements. Knowledge of BMS operation will be an added advantage. · Possess in-depth knowledge of HT/LT systems, power transmission equipment, and their operation and maintenance. · Ensure effective maintenance of electrical panels and associated distribution systems. · Monitor operation and maintenance of Purified Water Systems and distribution networks. · Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for utility and electrical equipment. · Lead electrical installation, commissioning, upgrade, and modification projects across the facility. · Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements related to engineering and utility operations. · Prepare and review SOPs, maintenance schedules, engineering records, logbooks, and technical documentation. · Support qualification, validation, calibration, and audit activities related to engineering systems. · Drive Energy Conservation (ENCON) initiatives and utility optimization projects for improved operational efficiency. · Coordinate with QA, Production, Warehouse, and QC departments to ensure uninterrupted plant operations. · Manage contractors, vendors, AMCs, and project execution activities. · Investigate utility-related deviations and breakdowns, and implement effective CAPA. · Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and internal audits. · Develop and lead engineering team members to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement. Required Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical Utility, HVAC, BMS, Water Systems, and Electrical Infrastructure. • Hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of GMP-compliant utility systems. • Knowledge of electrical installations, panels, transformers, DG sets, and power distribution systems. • Understanding of regulatory requirements, qualification, validation, and documentation practices. • Experience in project management, commissioning, and equipment lifecycle management. • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Good leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities. • Proficiency in MS Office and engineering documentation systems.
