Lead - State Legal (OMS)

Group Company: Suzlon Energy Limited Designation: Lead - State Legal (OMS) Office Location: Position description: Description Primary Responsibilities: Lead and manage state‑level legal function to support OMS operations across wind sites, offices, and facilities. Handle legal matters related to contracts, vendor agreements, service providers, AMCs, and commercial disputes for OMS activities. Provide legal advice and risk assessment to State OMS leadership on operational, commercial, statutory, and compliance issues. Oversee and manage litigation, notices, claims, and legal proceedings, coordinating with external counsels as required. Ensure compliance with applicable laws including labor laws, contract laws, statutory requirements, and OMS‑related regulations. Review, draft, vet, and approve legal documents, MOUs, agreements, affidavits, and representations relevant to OMS operations. Coordinate with administration, HR, SCM, and finance teams for legal compliance of contractors, vendors, and service providers. Represent the State in legal audits, inspections, and interactions with government authorities and regulatory bodies. Track legal cases, maintain documentation, and prepare MIS reports on legal matters, risks, and compliance status. Drive preventive legal practices by identifying potential risks early and implementing controls to protect OMS business interests.
