Job Title: Treasury Lead Location: Karachi Head Office Position Summary The Pakistan Treasury role is responsible for managing the company's treasury operations, cash liquidity, banking relationships, trade finance activities, and financial risk management. The position ensures adequate funding, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and effective execution of import and export trade transactions. Key Responsibilities: A. Treasury Responsibilities 1. Cash & Liquidity Management Monitor and manage daily cash positions across all bank accounts. Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts. Ensure optimal liquidity levels to support business operations and financial obligations. Manage intercompany & Antibanking funding arrangements and related transactions. 2. Banking & Financial Operations Following up daily operation with all banks to ensure smooth operations process. Reviewing banking fees mainly for trade transactions , Monitoring the credit facilities to avoid acceding the agreed bank limits’ Execute fund transfers, foreign exchange (FX) transactions, and investment activities as required. Ensure compliance with country & banking regulations, corporate policies, and internal controls. Monitor banking service performance and recommend process improvements. 3. Treasury Reporting, Analysis & Controls Prepare treasury reports, including cash position reports, cash flow statements, liquidity analysis, and funding reports. Prepare the Cash flow forecast report (2 times a month) & compare it with the actual transactions on weekly biases. Analyze funding requirements and recommend appropriate financing strategies. Support internal and external audits by providing treasury documentation and explanations. Providing the required documentation and information to the banks we are dealing as per contracts agreements. Ensure robust internal controls are maintained across cash management and trade finance activities. Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks. B. Trade Finance Responsibilities (Import/Export) 5. Trade Transaction Management Working closely with SC team to ensure smooth way for Import & export process to avoid any delay or extra cost and ensure compliance with regulatory, banking, and company requirements. Review documentation received from the Supply Chain team and ensured compliance with approved processes and agreed turnaround times. Manage end-to-end import and export trade finance transactions, including: Letters of Credit (LCs) Documents for Collection (D/C) Other trade finance instruments as applicable Resolve trade transaction issues and discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all trade finance transactions. Track shipment status and ensure timely completion of trade transactions. Prepare trade finance performance reports and provide insights for process improvements. Key Competencies Treasury and Cash Management Liquidity Planning and Forecasting Banking Relationship Management Trade Finance Operations Foreign Exchange Management Financial Analysis and Reporting Risk Management and Internal Controls Regulatory Compliance Preferred Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualification is preferred. Relevant experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, and Trade Finance for 2 years. Strong understanding of banking products, cash management, and international trade finance.
