Position Summary

In this pivotal role, you will provide support in the development, data compilation, proofing, and communication of promotional events and ads for corporate and/or Independent retailers. Your daily responsibilities will encompass tasks ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

Here’s what you’ll d o

  • Develop and communicate promotional programs for assigned area both in print and digital
  • Review promotional publications to ensure accuracy of layout/design, copy, pricing, etc.
  • Review and process retailer advertising bills for inclusion on retailer invoice. Follow up and ensure timely resolution of any issues as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with independent customers in creation of managed ads and supporting promotional reports.
  • In collaboration with Business Planning team, develop and communicate the weekly Complex promotion detail to assure awareness and accuracy of coupon information for corporate and Independent stores.
  • Validate the data integrity of Company digital coupons, approve coupons for publication by vendor, and verify the process integrity for offer feeds to graphic services for advertising/signage printing; responsible for problem resolution as required.
  • Communicate merchandising strategies and promotional plans with independent customers. May participate in the implementation of display programs for new items, banner specific items, etc.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need

  • Degree in Business Administration or Marketing, Graphic Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years marketing experience, preferably in a food/ beverage/ CPG or wholesale/retail environment.
  • Experience within a grocery wholesale/retail industry preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, proofreading and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to meet and work within strict deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Advertising, Marketing, Merchandising and general understanding of related Sales, Category Management and Pricing practices.

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a typical office environment and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. Temperatures may vary for those subject to any of the following areas: computer/server room, print shop, production area). The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
