About The Role

Conventional Lathe Operator

  • Conventional turning outdated? Not in our work!
  • Alongside CNC machining, conventional techniques continue to offer plenty of challenges.
  • You will perform turning operations on components up to Ø1,500 x 8,000 mm, weights up to 8,000 kg. Most parts are one-offs, requiring precise work, patience, and perseverance.
  • First time right is more important than speed.
  • In addition to conventional turning, knowledge of 3-axis CNC milling is preferred.
  • If you don’t have this yet, no problem! You are eager to learn and willing to develop these skills.
  • We understand that it can take 1 to 2 years for a new colleague to reach the desired level in our field.
  • We start with a one-year contract, but aim to convert it to a permanent position as soon as possible.
  • We work daytime shifts, and a 4-day workweek is available if you prefer.

Requirements

  • At least a level 3 vocational education (MBO 3) or equivalent; a completed qualification is a plus but not required.
  • Hands-on experience in machining.
  • Practical, solution-oriented, and eager to learn.
