JOB.TITLE Clerk Grade: Grade 9/10 Salary Range: $133,348 - $146,945 plus superannuation Employment Type: Ongoing Location: Goulburn - Hybrid opportunity. In-office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum, which could be subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies. About the team Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services. We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments. What you will do The role supports financial reporting, maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger(s), capital and service concession assets management, cash flow forecasting and development and maintenance of internal and external auditor’s relationships. The role supports and advises Government Shared Services (GSS) and Agency teams on key contemporary statutory and financial reporting issues. About You You are a highly motivated and technically strong finance professional with proven experience in statutory and financial reporting within a large and complex organisation. A qualified CA/CPA, you possess a sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, government reporting requirements, financial controls, and general ledger management. You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and provide practical advice to stakeholders. You thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, building strong working relationships across finance and the broader business to achieve quality outcomes. With a continuous improvement mindset, you are proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and controls. You are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while supporting stakeholder needs and contributing to the achievement of organisational objectives.
