About The Role

Your responsibilities

As a key member of our European Change organisation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maturing Project & Portfolio Management across multiple markets.

You will be responsible for

  • Partnering with Change Management and IT Delivery teams to build and standardise a Project & Programme Management capability across all European markets.
  • Driving the development and adoption of portfolio prioritisation frameworks, project governance standards, reporting processes and delivery assurance practices.
  • Establishing a high-performing PMO service that ensures change investments are effectively governed, resources are optimally allocated and business benefits are realised.
  • Providing portfolio-level insight and assurance through management information (MI), including budget oversight, benefits tracking and risk management across European markets.
  • Developing and maintaining portfolio dashboards and executive reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Working closely with the Global PMO Lead to continuously enhance the Change function by introducing best practices, governance frameworks and capability-building initiatives.
  • Owning, administering and continuously improving the organisation's Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Collaborating with the Delivery Assurance Lead to maintain high standards of project and programme delivery.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for PMO, portfolio management and governance-related matters.
  • Driving continuous improvement of portfolio management processes, tools and service offerings.
  • Supporting European Change Risk Management by providing insight and reporting against key risk indicators.
  • Leading portfolio governance forums involving senior stakeholders from multiple European markets.
  • Coordinating a complex portfolio of strategic change initiatives with significant business impact, risk and organisational complexity.
  • Leading, developing and managing team members located across different countries and markets.

You will bring

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and align priorities across diverse local and Group-level stakeholders.
  • The ability to create clarity and drive progress in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly when managing complex issues and competing priorities.
  • A collaborative and facilitative approach to portfolio management within matrix organisations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in an international business environment.
  • Expertise in portfolio management methodologies, governance frameworks and PMO best practices.
  • Experience working across multiple countries and culturally diverse teams.
  • Proven experience leading and developing a PMO function.
  • Experience managing project portfolios within Change and/or IT environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools.
  • Good understanding of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in IT, Finance or a related discipline (preferred).
