Your contribution to Prysmian's Success

The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying, developing, and leading initiatives that enhance operational performance across manufacturing and logistics in Drammen. The role drives implementation of new capabilities, efficiency, reduces waste and cost, and improves customer satisfaction by strengthening Lean culture, enabling problem-solving capabilities, and ensuring sustainable process improvements.

Key tasks in your job

  • Optimize line utilization and process parameters to improve efficiency, including updating relevant company procedures and working instructions
  • Ensure that production is executed according to agreed process parameters from CA in process area
  • Cooperate with R&D in order to validate and update process parameters in product specifications
  • Analyze and implement improvement actions based on OEE data within process area
  • Cooperate with material engineer in order to test and validate quality of existing and new materials
  • Analyze and follow-up operations KPI’s for Material cost efficiency
  • Create and maintain relevant procedures and instructions
  • Own the Continuous Improvement roadmap for Drammen Operations and logistics.
  • Identify, prioritize, and execute improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and 6S methodologies.
  • Establish and improve routines for Lean tools, standards, and daily management systems
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers across the Europe region to share best practices and execute joint initiatives.
  • Create and follow up processes and procedures for MV rubber production (Approved Investment 2026/2027)

Skills and competencies

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree as engineer, or two-year education as a technical school technician (Teknisk Fagskole)
  • Min. 3-5 years relevant experience within cable production preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of rubber production, and Medium Voltage (up to 36kv) preferred
  • High implementation capacity
  • IT skills
  • Overview and structured
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to motivate people
  • Language skills: English
