Quality Technician

BASIC POSITION DUTIES : To support the layout, testing and inspection requirements for the facility. JOB DUTIES: Perform functions such as: Gage Repair & Calibration, Gage R & R Studies, Precision Inspection, Gage / Fixture Layout. Supplement Receiving Inspection and in-process Testing activities. Support New Product Launches. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School plus 2 years Vocational Technical Degree or equivalent experience in Quality Field preferred. A minimum of 1-year experience in Automotive/Industrial environment in testing. Understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances is a must. SPECIAL SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Working knowledge of inspection/quality principles. Strong written/oral communication skills. Ability to work in and promote a team environment. Working knowledge of personal computer applications. Knowledge TS16949 Quality System standards. Knowledge of basic chemistry and physics in high school or college. Knowledge of basic SPC principles.
