ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Works closely and cooperatively with the Director of LCC campus, FVCC Student Services, and other LCC staff and instructors on programmatic, financial, and administrative matters.

Provides outreach, support, and programs to students and instructors in the Continuing Education program. Schedules and works collaboratively with Continuing Education staff at FVCC to coordinate services.

Schedules, coordinates testing services, and maintains records for the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) program. Works closely with the CDL instructor for compliance.

Maintains and monitors facility agreements, oversees LCC room and facility utilization requests, arrangements and payments.

Assists with the coordination of the adult education program; may administer HiSET/GED assessments. Works collaboratively with the Adult Education staff at FVCC to coordinate services.

Proctors exams for remote classes and students.

Provides technical support and assistance for remote and in-person classes; coordinates with IT for troubleshooting and updates to technology at LCC.

Assists potential students with college placement and registration process.

Coordinates other educational opportunities, workshops, events, and plans student activities on campus.

Establishes and initiates effective and timely communications to assure sharing of information

Handles a broad range of inquiries and schedules appointments. Receives and processes student payments.

Opens, closes, and secures the building, as needed and assigned.

Remains current in practices, trends and research related to areas of assignment

Attends related trainings, workshops, and professional development

Cross trains to perform other departmental and team functions; backfills for staff as needed

Actively participates in the development of a climate that promotes and supports innovation and efforts to continuously improve services to students, faculty, and the College

Creates and maintains a collaborative and collegial environment with colleagues and maintains effective working relationships.

Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality of students in accordance with applicable laws and policies

Advances the mission of FVCC by serving on or convening committees and contributing in the community in college-related activities

Performs other duties as assigned.

Reports to the Director, Lincoln County Campus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of related work experience, OR,
  • Associate’s degree and two years of related work experience, OR,
  • High School degree or equivalent and four years of related work experience, OR,
  • An equivalent combination of higher education courses and related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work experience in a higher education setting
  • Experience working with database/information systems

This is a Medium Duty job, according to the Selected Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of Occupational Titles, U.S. Department of Labor and Industry. Medium Duty involves exertion of 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
