Payroll Officer

About The Role
- Manage monthly payroll processing and reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with Maltese payroll, tax, and social security requirements
- Prepare statutory returns including FS3, FS5 and FS7 submissions
- Produce payroll, labour cost and workforce reports using Indigo Payroll and Indigo Insights
- Support Heads of Department with payroll and labour data analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate payroll processes
- Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and GDPR compliance
- Support HR projects, process improvements, and wider HR initiatives, collaborating with the team to deliver an efficient and positive employee experience.
- Experience with Indigo Payroll / Shireburn Software and Indigo Insights
- Knowledge of Maltese payroll legislation and statutory reporting
- Hospitality or high-volume payroll experience
- Experience in payroll, HR administration, or accounting
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement
