About The Role

In this role, you'll: Undertake specialist inspections of earthmoving and construction plant, trucks and equipment across Regional NSW. The inspections and audits will focus on safety, compliance and the operational condition of TfNSW owned, leased and hired equipment engaged on TfNSW worksites across all of NSW. This role will also assist in the procurement of new fleet assets to ensure compliance with TfNSW specifications and safety requirements, providing technical advice on Fleet Asset requirements, providing technical expertise during the investigation of incidents and root cause analysis of major repairs, and assisting Managers and Engineers with the administration of the Transport agency truck and plant leasing contracts. This is an ongoing full-time role located in the Central West Region (options include Dubbo, Parkes or Orange), however, TfNSW is committed to hybrid ways of working therefore consideration will be given to providing flexible working arrangements for the successful candidate. Please note the role includes a combination of office and field work requiring extensive travel to various parts of NSW and living away from home, including attending meetings in Sydney on occasion. For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack About you You're an experienced Fleet Inspector with trade qualifications in a field related to earth-moving plant and equipment or heavy vehicles. A highly motivated self-starter with ability to work alone and possess a high level of communication skills with the ability to engage & collaborate professionally with all stake holders including Customers, Team members, internal & external Suppliers. You have extensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance and inspection of earthmoving plant, trucks and equipment. You will have a good eye for detail & have the ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, workshop manuals and hydraulic system diagrams will see you succeed in this role. You will be Trade qualified in a field related to earthmoving trucks, plant and equipment and have a current and unrestricted MR NSW Drivers licence.
