Position Overview

Sandy Cove Ministries is seeking an experienced

Sous Chef

• to help lead the kitchen team, ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation, and contribute to an outstanding dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train kitchen staff
• Plan and prepare weekly and special event menus
• Order food and supplies on a weekly basis
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality
• Cook meals and accommodate special dietary requests
• Oversee dining room service
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
• Participate in scheduling, inventory, and day-to-day operations

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in food service leadership
• Culinary certificate or equivalent kitchen experience
• SERV Safe or similar food handling certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently, independently, and under pressure
• Basic technology and organizational skills
