THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior Node.js Developer
with 5+ years of experience to join our team.
You build the product.
You develop new features and products from scratch and continuously improve the ones we already have — real, production software that operators run their entire business on.
We build AI-native.
Claude Code and Codex are how we ship, not an occasional helper. We write real code and know it cold — but our default is to build with AI, fast.
This moves fast, and nothing stays still.
We're early and the roadmap is huge. Priorities change week to week — we want someone who enjoys that pace and ships quickly.

Requirements

AI-First Engineering

AI-Native Workflow

You build primarily using AI agents and tools like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor as your core development method.

Agentic Development Workflow

Deep understanding of how an AI-driven development lifecycle should be structured—including strategic planning, AI-assisted Test-Driven Development (TDD), automated code review, and effective context management.

Verification Discipline

You can reason through where code an agent wrote makes sense and when it needs to be rewritten.

Growth Mindset

An AI-first mentality with a relentless drive to continuously learn and adapt to new AI development paradigms.

Backend Engineering

N

ode.js & Typescript

5+ years of commercial experience building scalable production applications. Deep understanding of the fundamentals — the event loop, async patterns, closures, generics and utility types.

Frameworks

Vast experience with robust Node.js frameworks, specifically NestJS, Express, or Fastify.

Distributed Systems

Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and proven ability to design and navigate microservices architectures.

Architecture & APIs

Proven ability to design system architecture, well-structured REST APIs and scalable data models.

PostgreSQL Depth

Strong data modelling, indexing, transactions, and migrating schemas on live systems without downtime. Hands-on row-level security or equivalent hard multi-tenancy experience.

Redis & Caching

Good understanding of Redis and implementing efficient caching strategies.

Async Processing & Message Brokers

Deep understanding of asynchronous patterns and event-driven architecture. Experience implementing message brokers such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.

Correctness Under Retry

Practical experience with idempotency, queues and durable scheduling — systems where a duplicate operation is not acceptable.

Refactoring Live Systems

A track record of changing production systems safely and incrementally, rather than rewriting them.

Security-Minded

Commitment to developing with security as a priority, including practical knowledge of the OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, and data protection.

Proven ability to own feature delivery from start to finish—translating product requirements into technical architecture, writing the code, and seeing it through to successful deployment and production monitoring.
