The Opportunity We are currently on the lookout for a Quality Engineer – D a ta E n g i n e ering to join our team. Responsibilities: Validat ing datasets, reports, and dashboards by comparing results with source systems Run ning SQL queries to check data accuracy, data transformations, and business rule alignment Support ing testing of ETL/ELT processes and analytics pipelines across different stages Report ing data issues, track ing defects, and retest ing fixes in collaboration with Data Engineers and BI teams Document ing simple test scenarios, expected results, and validation checklists for dashboards and datasets Perform ing data integrity checks, transformation validations, and basic aggregation verifications Follow ing defined QE standards and maintain ing testing information in Jira and Confluence Work ing with senior QEs to improve testing coverage and learn ing advanced data validation techniques Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field 0 –2 years of experience in QA, Data Quality, BI, or Software Testing (fresh graduates with good Python and SQL knowledge are welcome ) Basic SQL knowledge An u nderstanding of data tables, relationships, and simple BI concepts Exposure to Python or interest in learning Python for test automation Familiarity with Agile processes and tools like Jira/Confluence is an advantage Good analytical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to learn Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams Must have a p assion for quality and continuous improvement Exposure to data engineering, ETL concepts, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) A b asic understanding of KPIs, metrics, or business rule validation Benefits: US dollar-linked compensation Performance-based annual bonus Performance rewards and recognition Agile Benefits - special allowances for Health, Wellness & Academic purposes Paid birthday leave Team engagement allowance Comprehensive Health & Life Insurance Cover - extendable to parents and in-laws Overseas travel opportunities and exposure to client environments Hybrid work arrangement Sysco LABS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
