About The Role

The UBC Sales Association is committed to building a strong student sales ecosystem on campus. We connect students with experienced professionals, run hands-on training events, and deliver high-impact programs such as the Sales Mentorship Program (SMP), Sales Pitch Competition (SPC) and learning/networking workshops.

The VP Marketing will work to plan and execute all marketing for UBC Sales’ social media accounts and events, from the Sales Mentorship Program (SMP) to the Sales Pitch Competition.

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 4-8 hours per week.
  • Commitment may increase leading up to major events, particularly the Sales Pitch Competition and SMP events.
  • Expected to attend executive meetings and UBC Sales events when available.

Term of Employment

September 2026 - April 2027

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase awareness and engagement with UBC Sales within the Sauder community.
  • Create promotional graphics and content for social media, events, recruitment, and other initiatives.
  • Lead marketing campaigns for the Sales Pitch Competition (SPC) and Sales Mentorship Program (SMP), including participant recruitment, event promotion, and program highlights.
  • Promote UBC Sales' three learning and networking events throughout the year.
  • Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and visual identity across UBC Sales platforms.
  • Capture and share event highlights and find creative ways to grow UBC Sales' presence within the Sauder community.
  • Collaborate with the External and Logistics teams to communicate event information, partnerships, and opportunities effectively.

Qualifications

  • Creative and interested in marketing, branding, social media, or content creation.
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines throughout the year.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with the executive team.
  • Experience with Canva, graphic design, photography, or social media management.
