About The Role

The UBC Sales Association is committed to building a strong student sales ecosystem on campus. We connect students with experienced professionals, run hands-on training events, and deliver high-impact programs such as the Sales Mentorship Program (SMP), Sales Pitch Competition (SPC) and learning/networking workshops.

The VP Logistics (x2) work together as peer partners to jointly plan and execute all UBC Sales flagship events, from the Sales Mentorship Program (SMP) to the Sales Pitch Competition (SPC).

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 5-10 hours per week, with responsibilities divided between the two VP Logistics.
  • Additional commitment may be required immediately before and during major events, particularly the Sales Pitch Competition.
  • Expected to attend executive meetings and UBC Sales events when available.

Term of Employment

September 2026 - April 2027

Main Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate logistics for UBC Sales events and programs throughout the year.

Take a leading role in organizing the Sales Pitch Competition (SPC), including venue, event schedule, competition flow, participant and judge logistics, materials, food, setup, and day-of execution.

Coordinate logistical needs for the Sales Mentorship Program (SMP), including workshops and networking opportunities.

Organize logistics for UBC Sales' three smaller learning and networking events.

Manage room bookings, event materials, schedules, checklists, and other operational requirements.

Help develop event timelines and ensure logistical deadlines are met.

Support day-of event setup, execution, troubleshooting, and cleanup.

Collaborate with External and Marketing to coordinate speakers, sponsors, judges, attendees, and event communications.

Qualifications

  • Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong time-management and planning skills.
  • Able to manage multiple moving pieces and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable problem-solving and adapting when plans change.
  • Works well collaboratively and communicates effectively with team members.
  • Previous event planning, project management, or logistics experience is an asset, but not required.
